Hi all,
My Dad bought a 1944 Farmall H off Tractor House a little while back. We got it picked up today. It was listed as a 1946, but I looked up the number and it is a 1944. The engine is stuck, but not stuck too bad because I got it to turn a little bit today, it is soaking in PB Blaster and should free up soon. This H has a IH early style wide front end and a IH 2 way Hydraulic valve. The sheet metal is nice, except the hood has a piece cut out for a alternator. (we removed the alternator). We have another good hood to put on it. My Dad and I were working on it a little today and while my Dad was cleaning the outside of the engine block, stamped in the block is "2BB", my 1943 H does not say "2BB". What does the 2BB mean? Thanks for looking!!

Andy.

Thanks Mike, but he is too far away from me, He is from Missouri, and I'm from Minnesota. I'd also like to find one that is not all restored, I really like doing the restoration work myself! ;) But Thanks anyway!

Andy.

Looks like a decent machine. I'm a big fan of the H, having two of them myself. One that I rebuilt a few years ago and another that my Dad rebuilt about thirty some years ago and sold to a relative - and I bought it back recently.

Keep us updated on the progress!

Me and my Dad still need to pick up 2 more H's, a 1945 H that we will use for parts and a 1946 H. I've got a 1943 H and I really like that tractor, The H's are good tractors and they are my favorite Farmall tractor, but I really want to find a M too.

Looks pretty good from what I can tell Andy. The steering wheel looks like mine.
Is it a gas or all-fuel?

Mike, It is a all fuel tractor, but someone put a Gas manifold on it. That steering wheel is pretty bent up, but I do have another one to put on it.

Thanks,
Andy.

ATF with acetone added make a great solvent for stuck engines.

Thanks Gordo, but I think I'll use the PB Blaster, I have not had much luck with ATF.

Thanks,
Andy.
