IH 404 3pt hitch

Does anyone know where or how I can get a fast hitch or 3pt hitch for an International 404 at a reasonable price? I know Bates has a used 3pt hitch but they are asking $1500 which is just ridiculous. I've found them for a bit less but still unreasonable after shipping costs....seems like there's got to be a way to get this done for less than the price of a complete tractor. Am I just going to have to sell my entire tractor???

Joel: A used factory 3 point hitch with draft control is a good buy. Hitches on new tractors probably represent 15% of the cost. Used tractors with factory draft controlled hitches are worth 50% more than tractors without 3 point hitch.

What part of the country are you in? There is Wenger"s in South Central Pennsylvania, and several others also in South Central PA.

The internet is a great place to be able to buy stuff from, no sales tax etc... but the cost of fuel is going to make the freight on most any thing go thru the roof!!
