Won't turn either way. Almost know pressure. I plated off outlet line, pressure jumped to 1500 lbs.. I was told that the input shaft at power steering unit had to move in and out to activate the control valve. 1. How much does the input shaft have to move? 2. How much pressure should the gage read when not turning the steering wheel. This problem came all of a sudden. It always turned easier one way better than the other.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Wayne P.S. I put in another used pump same problem.

I think all of your problems are up in the ft. in the valve as for in and out movement off the top of my head maybe not a 1/4 of and inch.

I want to thank you for your reply. I found the problem. The nut inside on the powersteering unit input shaft had loosened, not letting the input shaft to slide in and out to activate the control valve. Thanks again. Wayne
