Keith: The Cub is rather a unique little tractor, different from all other Farmalls. Cub is sleeveless engine, small cubic inch, flat head, 1,000 rpm PTO,

About the only thing a Super A shares with it is being offset. All other things about a Super A is just smaller version of the big tractors. Big cubic inch for it's size and turning 1,400 to 1,600 rpm. Over head valve engines like the big ones. Has 540 rpm PTO like the big boys.

The other thing about a Cub, it was a Cub from it's beginnings in the late 1940s to the very last one in 1975.

The A on the other hand came in 1939 and through SA, SA1, 100, 130 and 140 reamainded pretty much the same tractor until 1979. Basically 6 models over a slightly longer period.

I doubt it, but really don't know. The Cub has it's following, the Super A is just lumped in with the rest of them.
