On my Super H many time I have noticed the horizontal slotted holes that are on the bootom of the liftall cover. They resemble a keyhole design in a horizontal position. What are these slots for? Is there an attachmnent that goes thru this?
Thanks, Randy

Va, All belly pumps have this, it is a pivot point for the cylinder on mounted equipment. Look at the bottom, there is an open space in it. The pivot rod has a key shape, it slides in to the open space, then is turned so it is locked there in its operating position. Quite ingenious, Chuck

The "hole" itself was used as a pivot point on different lifting attachments.

As far as I know, the "keyway" was used with the special lifting tool used to remove/install the liftall pump itself.

The tool had two handles on each side of a pipe that was "keyed" into that keyed hole, which allowed two men to lower the pump assembly straight down and keep it from tipping while doing so.

We had a HM 150 semi-mount plow for our H. The rods that go in the hole were "keyed" for the slots. Otherwise they could vibrate out. May have been used to aid removal of the pump, I don't know.

Somewhere I have seen a diagram / drawing showing how make the tool to fit in this keyed hole. It allows two men, on either side of the tractor to lift or lower the pump once the bolts are our. I think this drawing is in the IT shop manual.

This must have been before they invented floor jacks!
