I have a C-123 engine I bought and the previous owner doesn't know what it came out of. The main bearing part numbers are 35579 1/3 DB and 35580 1/3 DB. The 1/3 is stamped in the part like a fraction. The block is a 52 so I looked on Case's website under SC and SA but didn't find numbers that matched. Can anybody tell me what size these are?

Your machine shop should be able to measure those bearings. Their specc book should show the max wall thickness at crown. When you get the new ones, check them with plastigage. If the clearance is excessive, the crank has to come out and be ground. Then you will need another set of bearings.

You need to find the IH part number on the crankshaft and post it. You need to have those main journals measured by your local auto machine shop. If they're still standard and are not worn or never been ground undersize they should measure 2.1245". The rod journals should measure 1.7495". Hal
