Does anyone out there in Farmall Tractor Land know if there is a difference in a SM radiator and a SMTA radiator. Many places sell radiators for a SM but not a SMTA. Even "Yesterdays Tractors" don't sell radiators for a SMTA, but does for the SM. What is the difference and will and SM radiator even work in a SMTA?

That is what I thought! But, if they are the same part number, why isn't the SMTA listed with the SM's and M's? Oh well...one of lifes mysteries I guess! Thanks for all the replies and your knowledge! I will go ahead and order an SM radiator knowing it will fit and work. Thanks again!

The radiators will have the same outside dimensions and mounting specs. Farmall M, super M, MTA, 400, and 450 should all interchange. The difference is in the number of rows of cooling tubes, 2 rows, 3 rows, or 4 rows.

400 and 450 take a different radiator, taller neck.
