Balls form bearings falling out of the bearings and rolling under the bow gear.

Mornin' Gary,

Have you ever reversed the bulls in one of these old tractors?

I've got an H that has a bit of bull whine in the rear end. I've read that if ya reverse 'em, it will give 'er another 50-60 years of service?

If you reverse the bull gears the pinion gears should also be switched sides to give a new wear surface.

That's what I figured. To get new iron against new iorn, they would have to go over on the other side too.

Darned thing never used to both me until I bought this quiet M. Now, the H really seems to "talk". :>)

I have reversed them on a 560 diesel 25 or 30 years ago. I think the tractor is still working.
