Kwm, My 41H with a 2001 is my favorite loader. But keep in mind it has live hyd with 2 valves and hyd bucket. A good H has plenty of power and strength, you definitly want fluid in the tires. Check which cylinders the loader has, they come with either 2 inch single acting or 2 1/2 inch double. The 2 inch will not be satisfactory with the H belly pump. If it has the original SMTA mounting brackets, the loader will be quite far forward on the H, and you will have to shim the front brackets out and forward. There was a wide variety of mounting brackets, I have the manual if you need to find out what this loader has Good luck, Chuck

We loaded 1500 pound round bales of alfalfa for years with an H with a Dual loader on it. If your careful and don't get too rough with them they'll last.

Hs aren't to bad a tractor for a loader but be careful. If it has a trike front it can/will flip pretty easy if you get the load up high. Always carry a load as low as you can or you will flip it over. Talked to a friend yesterday that just got on of those little Kabota tractors with a loader and he laid it over on its side the first day he was using it. He loader the bucket with rocks and was carrying it up high and laid it over on its side

Definitely, if you're going from nothing, it will be the bee's knees.

With the limited capability of the belly pump, it will probably seem a bit slow, and it will stop every time you push the clutch.

The tractor will also become much more difficult to steer, especially with a bucket full of stuff. Make sure you've got good tires pumped up to the maximum pressure. That, and only steering while the tractor is moving, will help make it go easier.

We moved decades worth of snow with an H that had some sort of unidentifiable loader and back blade on it. There were no issues until the old girl went to her reward... but she had become "inconvenient."

We moved manure with it in the spring for a while, but in its decrepit condition, it was an unnerving experience. That's why we got the 560 in the end.

That is the depth of my experience with an H, so I'm not of much use to you.

The H went down the road before I [we?] figured out that these machines could be restored and given new life. At the time the decision was made, I was not in a position to have any meaningful input. In spite of that, I consider it to be a Great Failure on my part. That tractor was not so far gone that a little TLC wouldn't have made the difference. But that's knowing what I know now.
I wish I had one more kick at that can. It would be a joy to have that old H back again.

Don

Weight is more of a factor than power, clearing snow , not a problem, moving big bales not so good.

It depends if the loader goes back to the rear axle. Just the front and belly mount can crack the bell housing on an H. My opinion is that an M is a lot better loader tractor than an H.

For sure,

They gotta be braced and beefed up. Any tractor can break in two if not properly strengthened.

Farmers have been using the H as a loader tractor since forever. It will do just fine.

Like Pat said, ya might wanna give some thought to a little different hydraulic configuration tho.

Glad to see you got that thing chained down good. If it gets loose it might kill somebody!

The H will do alright but remember its not a bulldozer. Why do you think you need maybe more HP.

My response is it depends what you are used to. If you are going to compare it to a brand new Kubota, you will be disappointed in the speed and control in the H. If you are now using a wheelbarrow and a shovel, it will be awesome.

I had a JD 45 loader on an H for years. It did a great job and had plenty of power.

what are you planing on lifting..the H is not as "ideal"as mayby a 300u or a 350u but if the liftall dosent put out enough pressure which i think it may you take out the liftall and put a pto pump on and get all the power you need
