I got the IH 484 to fire up today. This was my first engine rebuild. The oil pressure stays at 60psi. Its still blowing bubbles on the center fuel injector and I have a little oil leak some place and it looks like there might be a leak at the water pump but it runs good. Thats for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.

Michael, great news. What was the final solution to get it to run? I will get jumped on for this but I would not worry about the center injector blowing bubbles. Just leave it run for a while and maybe some carbon will seal the leak. Check for leaks in a week or two.

JimB2, I think the biggest problem was the leaky injectors. Before I thought only the one on the end was leaking and fixed it but later seen the center one was leaking so I probably only had one cylinder that could fire. I didnt want to but gave it a squirt of starting fluid and it took off.

IF ya have a injector pushen bubbles then there may be soome built up carbon down in the bottom of the tube . Did ya clean the bottom of the injector tubes out with a brush that is made for cleaning the tubes . and also clean the bottom of the injectors . Did ya torque them in alittle at a time and even . When ya tighten them down ya sorta have to WALK them down to torque.

Are they a clamp mount or a flange mount ???? As the there is a difference in torque . And if you did not get it wright then there is a chance that you may have damaged the tube .

Congrats on your accomplishment!!

I can hardly wait to get my first H project fired up, still a long ways off. I keep running into more expense that is eating into my paint budget
