$5.80 a foot for 1 ought for 7 feet! Plus all the ends I need to buy... plus the labor to have someone copper solder it!

Yikes! I had no idea!

I can get 1/0 welding cable for $3.29/ft or 2/0 for $3.99/ft...

Mike, your propane torch will solder that. Get a small roll of electrical solder (Not acid core), put the copper tip in the vise, heat it up, fill it 3/4 full of solder and stick the bare wire into the tip. Viola, its soldered. Henry
