404 504 clutch pedals?

I have a 504 International utility tractor. It has the offset clutch pedal. It is kind of annoying to operate because it is formed out so far from the footboard. I keep getting my foot stuck between the petal and the TA lever. I believe they were made this way for manual steering and I believe it is a carry over from the old 350 to give clearance for the steering arms from the steering box to swing past without hitting the pedal. My 504 has hydrostatic steering so there is no steering arms. My question is this. I have seen a 404 with a straight clutch pedal on it. Will this pedal work on my 504 or will it interfere with the TA handle? Just an idea. Thank you very much for any ideas or suggestions.

I had a pedal that wasnt quite right...

I put it in the shop press after heating the bend point up with a torch....

Works great....

I don't know anything about the 404 pedal but I know what you are talking about with the 504 clutch pedal being set out to the left. Ours rubbed the loader frame so I used acetylene torch to heat it and bent it inward some. Perhaps you could modify yours even more by cutting some of it out and welding it back together in a more nearly straight shape.
