Hi I have an H with carb 6272DB. I have had problems with the carb for the last 7 years since we bought it. The carb has been brazed so I assume it was cracked. I have someone who will take it apart and clean it up and it runs great for a few weeks then it seems to always slip into a mode of leaking gas and what seems like running while flooding. This has been our plague for 7 years. I want to replace the carburetor and I find rebuilt 50981 DC carbs ebay. Can these different carburetors be interchanged? thanks,
dave

My SH does the same thing... I am going to try to polish the three side of the needle as soon as I get time and Ill post back to let you know how it went.

I'd look to buying one from this site. They may be easier to deal with getting the right one.

I don't know where it is leaking from, the brazed crack or out the intake. That is a common problem and a couple guys here have identified a problem with the needle valve needing a little sanded off of the three sides so it goes deeper into the seat and forms a better seal.

The two different models will readily interchange. No problem.
If you're buying it on ebay, ask lots of questions first.
