Hi All.

I was reading through the lubrication schedules for my H and my M, and it says to put cream separator oil in the oil cups for the magneto, distributor, generator, and starter.
I dont happen to have a cream separator handy, can someone suggest a similar light weight oil that will work just as well for these oil cups?

Thanks,

Bug

Thanks for the input everyone.

Ill see what I can find for a light oil, and I do have some tool lubricant, so maybe Ill give that a shot.
Thanks!

I use tool lubricant in my H's magneto and generator oil cups, it is a nice light oil and woks fine. It is the oil that is used in compressed air guns and other air powered tools.

I've always put 15w-40 diesel oil in mine and haven't had a problem.

Would something like 3 in 1 oil be a good choice?

NO!, NOT 3-In-One. It acts as a solvent, then makes things gummy.

I like "turbine oil".

you could us a light hyd. oil or even light eng. oil. there is nothing critical here, its just bushings your oiling, just dont over oil them.any oil is better than no oil.
