The hyd controls work ok on the lift-Can I use diverter valves and use this system for a loader with single action cyl.on the lift and double acting cyl. on the bucket this will be mostly for snow handling. I am not sure the pump and reservor will even handle a loader setup. any help appr.

Thanks for the reply Jim BUT I only have 2 levers and you are right one of them runs the fast hitch. There's been a small releif filed out in the sheet matel where you can access the 9/16 stud to switch it from single to double acting in think? There is not any place for a 3rd lever that I can see. Will keep on trying.

Look up in there, there may be three valves (the handles may come out of one hole. Taking the side of the hood loose, or off will probably be needed anyway. If it only has 2 valves, a third can be easily placed in that location, (I think they all had 3 to the best of my knowledge) remove the cover plate and put on another valve, placing the cover on the new valve with new "O"rings. Good luck, keep us informed. JimN

Thanks again Jim.Was nice hr in Oregon today so went out and done some more looking. Dont think without removingthe right side hood that it ever had three valves .The shaft for the valves is just long enuff for 2 and the factory trim end is on the shaft. On the lower front of the reservoir there are two stub 3/4 in pipes with quick discs. on them will raise and lower the loader I installed ok but see no way to hook up the double acting bucket lever(that I dont have yet). will keep you posted and I may wind up adding the second set of good double acting valves I have to control the loader by tapping into the pump outlet line. Tnx again .

That is not as good a solution as putting another valve on the side of the original setup. For one thing, it will kill the powersteering and other hydraulics when used. The priority valve is in the hydro unit. Putting another valve on it is way possible, they often came that way (I've driven many of them. JimN

A 350 Farmall (not Utility) will be equipped with three control valves on the tight side of the dash. One of the valves is being used for the Fast hitch. The other two are ready for your use. They may be connected to hoses for implements (remotes) or they may be unused. The valves have controls on their non handle end allowing three positions (roll pin under a sheet metal spring clip, on a flat sided knob) the position of this knob sets Full double acting, single acting, or full float single acting. Double acting is CCW (if I remember correctly).
If these valves are missing, they are common IH valves from that era used on the IH line. Good luck. JimN
