Will a 310D out of a 715 combine fit in a 656 with a 282D?

From what I have heard, the combine 310 will not work in a tractor unless you install a tractor crankshaft. Some sort of issue with the pilot bearing or flywheel. Even then, it'll take some work to make it fit the 656, you'd need to come up with a rear plate and flywheel from a late 686.

You'll also need a front plate and possibly the frame rails out of a 686.

K.B., that thing about the crankshaft is good to know. There were a few times over the years where we almost bought a diesel 715 combine for the engine to put in the 756... Always ended up begging off because of the parts necessary to make the conversion.
