I have a 3444 Backhoe special with no power steering. Pump works, cylinder ok. How does this thing work with only 2 lines to the steering head? does anyone have a diagram?

Go to the www.caseih.com website and go through the two parts search screens and put in 2444 and see if the steering system matches yours. There are other models that may have the same steering system. Two lines going to a steering head sounds like you have a hand pump under the steering wheel.

I fought power steering problems with my 2606 for a long time. Found one of the bypass valves that was in the draft control housing under the seat had a piece of metal holding the check ball open. Don't have one finger steering but at least I can turn the wheels now.

Look for an open bypass somewhere, there are a few of them.

Also the 2444 has one pump that runs rear lift and steering. theire is a priority flow diverter that rounte fluid to the steering system and regulates the pressure on it. could be a problem in there.
2444's came with a few different steering options. one steering ram, two and I have seen a B version with a non ram type of power steering.

the 3444 is a true commercial unit and not an industrial tractor like the 2444 I have is.
Kinda hard to find info. I wonder if it has the same setup as the 2444. Does it have 2 steering rams like my 2444 ?
