On my new pistons there is STD and a arrow stamped in them, what does this mean? It points to the front of the engine. Im just curious, I dont want to find out it means something important that I didnt know about.

Standard bore piston. Arrow points to the front of the engine when installed.

"Standard" is the correct answer, however I must admit that my first thought was that "you were stationed in Gaum too long". Oh well!

like john said, it means standard bore, not an oversize piston. the arrow give you the index to point the piston to the front of the engine. did you replace sleeves also?
