I don't remember who mentioned it in here, but at a tire shop I went to after work, the guy didn't have any used tires that fit. But he recommended motorcycle tires for a usable fit. So, I went around the corner to a bike shop and they let me rummage through a huge pile of worn tires... which really weren't bad at all. I found two that matched and were in good shape. I got them for free! So I took them back to the first tire store, bought a pair of tubes and had them mounted for $30.

They look a little weird, but they are rubber, and they will roll. So I guess for now I'm happy. 8)

You could have saved that 30 bucks. Motorcycle tires can be hand mounted easily. I used to do some desert racing, and if you couldn't pull a tire and fix a tube, and mount it back up in less than 10 minutes, you just didn't go racing. All you need is a couple of crescent wrenches. Or a pair of those little spoons that come in some MC tool kits.Something else you could learn.

Maybe you can fashion a kind of "king-queen" seat as well :) although the dust might get annoying.

But that said, it's a very innovative and cost-effective solution.

Way to go, looks like they will do the job until you can get the ones you want.

Did you get that H running yet?

Loudly!

This was at the Red Power Roundup in Bloomsburg Pa last summer, display only, but I saw it later in the summer at Rough&Tumble outside Lancaster. I heard the owner fire it up, but before I got there, he had shut it down, and didn't want to run it again.
Stock Harley engines are what? 50 horsepower? And they are also designed more for torque than speed, so I'd expect it would pull.
More horsepower than the original engine, anyway.

This guy had a different tractor at Rough&Tumble the year before. I'll put those pics on tonight when I get home from work at midnight. It's a beaut!

HP on HD engines depend on year, make and displacemnt. That one looks to be a 1340cc/80 cu. in. engine which would put out approximately 67-72 HP.

Now you have to get rid of the muffler and go with a 'drag-pipe'!
