On my Super-A, I'm cleaning up prior to getting a new TO bearing in.
I want to re-grease inside the clutch release sleeve guide. The crud in there is real sticky. Is it a press fit into the torque tube? I don't want to work it out if I can't get it solidly reseated where it won't come loose.

Yes it is a press fit make sure the grease zerk is lines up so you can reach it thru the hole in the bellhousing and clean the carrier so grease can get thru the hole so when the to bearing is greased the tube also gets some.

If the sleeve in the picture is the one you are talking about, I'd let well enough alone. It doesn't need grease. When everything is back together and lined up, the shaft runs in the center of it without contact against the sidewalls.

It has a little grease in it now because of some grease migrating back from the throwout bearing.

Sounds good. I don't have the equipment to press it back in anyway. I can work a little grease in with my fingers. That should suffice.

Thanks, you guys.
