Get on the wisconsin historical society site and look through the archive IH photos I found some pics of them making steel wheels on there the other day.

Don't have the pictures but had an uncle, in law, that built 2 steam engines from scratch. He made the front and rear wheels himself. He built a slip roll former out of AC round baler press rollers and used the rear wheel of a D15 with a belt to drive it. What's amazing is he died of natural causes and with all his limbs and digits.
