Does anyone know a good place to buy tires at a reasonable price for a farmall 140. I"m looking for 12.4 X 24 size.
Thanks,
Randy

Hunt up your local tire store that handles agricultural tire. If they don't have them, they will be able to get them. Tires at the local store may cost a little more, but don't forget the freight and mounting which will end up jacking the cost up to more than the local store. I got some bar tread tires a while back for a manure spreader. I got the same tires locally that Miller had cheaper than Miller and they mounted them for me. Personally, I don't like the 12.4 tires on the 140. I think they are too big and the 11.2 size looks better and is enough tire for the tractor. I had a 140 that I sold that came with 12.4 tires. I did not like the looks and the tires are too big to work with a Woods belly mower.

My dad got a set of Akuret from the guys in town and they have been a great tire with deep tread. The 140 likes the mud now. They werent a bad price, Id check out the local tire shops.

I have to encourage you to seek out a local ag tire shop. Online sources like Tucker and Miller are great people, but what you save on the tires and sales tax is eaten up by shipping charges. It's not cheap to ship stuff anymore.

Good choice! I use 12.4 X 24 on both 140's. I bought from the local IH/Case dealer who also put them on. I would buy from Miller Tires. You can do it online at their website or call them. I just recieved 2 front wheels for a 140 from them.

Good people.
