Also if it works youll have to change the throttle rod from the gov. to the carb. youll have to use the H part here to along with the carb. (the 300 one will be to short to reach the H carb)

No. The governor tubes are specific to each tractor. The tube length on the M through 450 will be longer due to the increased length of the engine.
The tube used on the H through 350 is shorter, because of the shorter engine length.

You can put an M carb on an H or a 300 and still use the governor tube that is currently on the tractor.

My Falut i just measured mine and there almost the same, this is adjusted to how much of the throttle sahft that is in the gov. its a 3/8 - 1/4"

Also was thinking that if he has a new type manifold on the 300 then it was made to fit H-350 so any of those carbs will bolt to the manifold. if he still has the factory one on there i dont know if they had such large slots in the them for mounting the carb.

Sorry for confusion there

Andrew

Don't think so. Mounting bolt holes are closer on an H than on the 300. An M carburetor WILL work, but the choke lever will be on the wrong side, but you can deal with that.

Spent 2 hours on the 966 Monday, and 2 yesterday. It's working just fine. I need to check all the gages, lights etc and see what they do when it is working right, so I might see the problem when the gremlins return.
