I HAD A CAM CUT FOR MY M AND WAS TOLD TO SET THE DEGREE ON IT MY ? IS WHEN U BOLT IT IN LINE UP THE DOTS THERE IS NO MOVEMENT FOR IT. SO WHERE IS THE SETTING ON IT

There are two methods I can think of. One is to use a special offset key in the drive custom made to place the desired advance/retard timing, the other is to use an adjustable drive pulley with a seperate hub and degree markings (unlikely to be available). If you have the specs for the cam, and a degree wheel for the front pulley, and a set of precision measuring tools, particularly a dial indicator, you can at least check the timing of the cam with all parts stock, and aligned as factory. If it is not reasonably close to the spec, (1/2 deegree)it will need adjustment to be powerful. JimN

First, ask the fellow who made the cam for you. If he doesn't know of another way, then I'd say you've got to mis-align the dots to retard or advance the cam. mike
