If it's just cracked on the left side behind the carb, that can be repaired, but if the cracks go accross the tops of the cylinders, then the best thing to do is junk the block.

Jerry, if yours is like most in that location, the crack will only be an inch or two long. Many folks have had success with cleaning it out REAL WELL, inside and out, and filling it with JB weld or a good epoxy. The B's cooling system isn't pressurized, so you just need something that will bind to the iron and hold the coolant in.
