Sounds like a parts tractor the way it is now. If the block is not broke and the wheels are usable its a couple hundred bucks but beyond that it depends on why or what you want it for. A restored F12 ready to go to the show will top out at around 2500 bucks . It'll cost a grand to rebuild the engine and another 500 for tires and there is lots in between so buy it for fun not profit.

I also don't completely understand the "low ball" on some of these F series tractors.

Try buying one that is restored for under $2000 here in western Pa.

On the other hand, it often depends upon where you are at. I live in Pa, and am currently looking for a 1952 SM, and also an F-30. There are plenty of SM's around, but the prices are scaring me.

On the other hand, there isn't an F-30 to be found in my location. I have found 4-5 of them out west, but I am not necessarily into a 2500 mile round trip with the trailer at this point.

I guess each person has to determine what they are willing to pay for a particular model. If I ever locate my dad's SM, believe me, the current owner will basically be able to name their price.

condition, location, and your personal desires should dictate the price. If you have no idea where to start, start at scrap price, and go from there.....

I dont know why guys are so down on the 12/14 tractors. I love them. Of course Im partial, I have a 39 F14. If you want it, then go get it, and dont worry about what its worth, worry about what its worth to you. If its just something to try and resell, then forget it. As you can see, some people think they arent worth anything.Yea, you can buy a runing one ALOT cheaper than restoreing one, but wheres the fun in that. ME, Id offer him $300 and work from there to you maximum price. You may get lucky and he give it to you. I paid $1000 for mine in a semi-restored condition, but it wasnt running. but it was the first tractor I rememebr my Dad and I worked on before he sold it, and I wanted it back.

Unfortunately for the seller, it's worth less than its weight in scrap steel.
