Thanks for the remarks! the tractor is about a half mile from me. The guy said it will run where it is sitting. I can get it for $750.00 . I did not know if it was worth that or not. I drove one when I was about 12 years old but it was a diesel. I would like to have one for tractor pulling.
Is it worth $750.00

Thanks David

It would be a steal, if the tractor is mechanically sound... Good luck.

Once got a running 504G with about 1700 original one owner hours for $750. It is a tricycle Farmall version and around here there is no longer any row cropping. If it had been a utility model, some landscaper would have bought it at $3000.

At that price it"s a good deal even if it is not running!

Sounds like a good price, I paid $2250 for mine in Texas it's a tricycle front end. I don't know about pulling with it, not a real heavy tractor but it can pull haybines (not real fast), square balers and '2 row' row crop implements.

My 504 diesel has pulled a Vermeer 504C baler yearly, Massey-Furgeson 10' tandem disk, John Deere 9' offset disk (just not real deep), and occasionaly a Reynolds 4 yd earth-moving scraper (too much for the old tractor, but gave it hell trying). Also I tried a 5 point chisel plow... Yeah right, it was like an anchor. It is a good 50 hp tractor, especially if it has a functional TA. If you plan to pull or lift anything heavy (like round bales or large equipment), find some front weights! With out weights, I can it in 3rd and ride a wheelie for a short piece, very light on the nose. I removed about 700-800 lb of weights off the front of mine when I installed my loader.
