I recently purchased this International AI as you can see it has be repainted red at some time or another. Anyway what I need to know is the paint code for the International yellow used on the AI's. If the entire tractor was yellow including the rims, or if the rims are painted silver as normal. Also did they make special decals for these tractors. Thanks for the input. Also how rare are these tractors and what is one in show condition worth.

It was not unusual for these tractors to have been red as they came from the factory. Orange may have been more common than yellow. In later years, many got repainted yellow to match the rest of a more modern fleet. Rims generally would have been silver.

Hood side sheet decal would have read "INTERNATIONAL". The model designation would be just an "A", not an "AI" and with no "cultivision". The front emblem would read "INTERNATONAL" rather than "FARMALL".

"IH International" decal on the hood, and a metal International emblem on the grille. Get an A decal, not an AI. Not rare, I doubt if there is an official yellow paint code. It could be also red from the factory.

Nothing rare about an International A. Still collectible to some for things like the foot-feed.

Anything but red could be painted any way the customer wanted. Most yellow ones I've seen also had yellow wheels, but I've seen silver/galvanized, with no idea whether any of them were original. The hood decals and badge on the grill would have said International instead of Farmall.
