I have read the manual several times for the Farmall M. 1941 on how to change the water pump, re-pack it etc. All I'm wanting to do is change the alternator belt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Frank - Removing the gen/alt belt is pretty straightforward:

1 - Loosen the setscrew on the water pump pulley, then open (unscrew) the pulley as far as it will go to loosen the fan belt.

2 - Repeat the above with generator pulley.

3 - Slip the fan belt off the crank pulley. It's OK to leave the belt hanging loose on the water pump pulley...

4 - Slip the gen belt off the gen pulley. Now work the gen belt off over the water pump pulley, over the loosened fan belt, then over the fan (it WILL fit over the fan one blade at a time)

Simply reverse the above steps to install the new belt.
