I have a 656 farmall diesel with a 2 point hitch that the past owner bent the wishbone (bail) of the 2 point hitch. How hard or expensive is it to change to 3 point? Or would I be better off having someone try to bend it back into shape?

Dave

Yep, what Rusty said.

It's gonna be a job because there are lots and lots of differences, but it can sure be done.

Hit the salvage yards. Any three point hitch from a 544, 656, 666 or 686 should bolt right on.

Good news is that you've already got the hydraulics and draft system in place on that fast hitch. However, you'll need all the differing linkages/hardware.

That's kind of a tough question. I think I would check with some local salvage yards first, see if you can find the complete 3 point set-up from a similar tractor. I just think you would be much happier with a 3 point. I'll do some looking and see what I can come up with for new parts.
