A freind of mine has a F20 and is wondering what it is worth. He showed me pictures of the F20 and it is in pretty rough shape. The tires are rotted off and he thinks the engine is tight. The tractor is one that his father used when he was a kid and I think he would like for me to buy it and restore it, rather then scrap it. Any ideas???

Not sure of the year on this F20. You folks have me almost talked into taking a run at it. Have to talk the wife into it. Thanks

$300-$350 sounds like a pretty good price, I think. What ever is done with the F-20, please don't let it go to the scrap yard. Save it and fix it up. Post some pictures of that F-20 too. What year is it?

Andy.

Paid $300 for my 38 about 6 months ago. It was in rough shape also. Sat under a fir tree for about 15 years. It was a narrow tread though and they seem to have a bit more value. Amazingly the motor was unstuck. Tires AND rims were shot. All 4 of them. I have been restoring it since I bought it and I am having a great time. It's costing me but it's also worth it. I have had to replace a lot of parts that were rusted through and also use a LOT of body filler on pitted metal. Would I do it all over again? Absolutely. All the parts are readily available at reasonable prices and when it's complete it will no doubt be my pride and joy.

Basically scrap price, but I would need to see pictures and inspect the tractor for a better estimate. I'd say $300 would be fair for both sides these days.
