I looked at a tractor this AM. Nothing on the hood to indicate model. This tractor has a Torqe Amp. The serial # on the right of the clutch housing is 23953 SJ. Ideas?? Thanks

A correction: In the subject I should have said SH not SA. I just completed restoring a 51 Super A and that was probably on my mind (must be getting old but that can't be at 70). It's hard to get a good idea, looks wise, on this tractor. The sheet metal is in a pile, the head is off, as is the oil pan. (A son-in-law was going to rebuild the engine a few years ago, started and didn't get it done). There is a hole in the upper right hand portion of the radiator where a section of the steering rod goes through. Needless to say the cylinders are rusted from setting out in the NW rain. I guess the fun begins now in talking price with the owner. Thanks again for the responses. Wayne

SH has the serial tag on left side and no T/A.
It may be a Johnny Cash tractor, but didn't start out as a SH.

Serial on right side = 300 farmall or utility, maybe farmall 460. Serial # to high for 350. If steering shaft goes to front of tractor above engine thats probably a farmall 300. If the steering shaft is going directly into steering gearbox with linkage rods on both sides going to a wide that could be a 300 utility. If steering shaft goes by left side of engine that could be a Farmall 460

Its an early 56 300 or a 55 400, with TA and Rockford clutch has to be a 300 or 400 due to it having a TA. look at the block and see what it says right abouve the oil fliter there will be a cast that will say c169 that would be 300 or c264 that would be the 400.

Look in the photo sections to see more pics then youll know what you have for sure.
