which tractor the 806 or 856 should i put a front end loader on ,the gear shift is a little different from each other.

The 56 series shifting is much better for loader work... we used 2nd gear and it's an easy flip from High to Reverse on our 1256 we had.

You can also retro-fit the 56 series shifting onto the 806...

Doesn't the 856 shift a little better than the 806?

Ours did. So for that reason I would put it on the 856.

There's a lot of shifting going on with a loader tractor. It will make your life easier.
