From the factory was the valve bolted on top of the hood, or was the hood botled on top of the valve? I've seen them mounted both ways on different tractors and would like to make sure I mount mine in the same manner as the factory.

I've looked at some pictures of F-12's and F-14's. It looks like, but hard to tell, that the hood is on top. IMO it provides for a more "cleaner" look. Either way, its still hard to get the hood off without disconnecting some of the fuel lines.

Drawbar,The hood should be bolted over top of the valve, that way you can remove the hood without removing the valve

You still can't get the hood off without un doing the lines unless you remove the steering shaft.

Thanks guys. I kinda figured the hood went on top. Which ever way,the hood can't be a lot of fun to remove. Seems like you have to deal with the steering shaft and possibly the fuel lines. I would rather not mess with the fuel lines any more than I have to cause I'm using all the original fittings.
