I have a 1938 F-20 with a foot pedal on the right side and a hand lever on the left side. Was this standard and if it was where does the brake cable coming from the steering hook into the brake shaft at. Thanks Mark

More often than not there is no handle or pedal on the right side. The handle was a special option and it is fairly rare.

No, That was not standard. It is either/or on handles versus pedals. Sounds like you have a retrofit.
