Just tore down a 41 H engine and was wondering how to make sure i get the right parts, the tractor has a serial #FBH67404 and the block doesnt have any stamped numbers that i can find untill ive power washed it. Any help with this would be helpfull. The man that bought this tractor heard a knock and now the crank needs to be turned so i will be going .010 under on the rods. the mains apear to be fine

There is a serial number stamped into the block below the #1 spark plug. Any decent parts place should be able to get the right parts based on serial number and casting numbers of the block and head...

"Appears" fine is not good enough for crankshaft specs, you need to have the journals checked with a micrometer... or you can use plasti-gauge when assembling to be sure the clearance is right.

The crank is off to the machine shop for turning and measring. Thanks for the info on the loc. of the block numbers
