I was reading the M 3 pt hitch post ... got me thinking..

My 560 has a FH drawbar without the swinging tongue attached to the front of the hitch...but there is a plate bolted to the drawbar extending the hitch pin hole back about 4 inches...Took it off to paint the tractor but wondering about leaving it off...

My baler hooks up fine as does the woods mower....

But on the C the Woods mower wont work ... PTO shaft too long....or really drawbar not extended enough...

What is the spec'd distance for implements?? is it measured from the end of the pto shaft??

that plate was made by IH for the purpose of making the PTO dimension correct. There are many home brew models out there, and some mower attatchment ones that look similar as well. best to measure yours and see if it gives right dimension.

Specs are:

540 rpm shaft= From end of shaft to center of hitch pin hole is 14"

1000 rpm 1 3/8" = 16" from end of shaft to center of hitch pin hole.

1000 rpm 1 3/4" = 20" from end of shaft to center of hitch pin hole.
