Anyone know for sure what spark plug ends came on a early 39/40 H & M. Would have either been the round "ring" terminals or "rajah" forked clips--I am assuming? Do we know when they were switched to the 90 degree steel ends, that we are use to. It probably would have happened around the time the "common" plugs were replaced with the newer style numbered plugs. At least I am assuming again.

Anyone know the original color of the cotton covered wires before they were painted red?

Thx skk

The forked type I don"t belive was ever used on tractors, too easy to get flipped off the plug. I know Chevys in the 30s were using 90 deg bare ends and rubber covers. My 1929 10-20 used looped ends and were plain ol rubber covered copper wire. Those were original for those. My 35 F-12 has bare 90 ends and cloth covered, but don"t think they are original since they have no paint on them and fit in a conduit. Both my H and M have newer wires so those won"t be much help.
