Combine engine in 806 gas

Could anybody tell me if any combine gas engines are the same as an 806 gas engine? Just want to put a gas engine back in. thanks chris

Yes the 715 used the 301 gas engine.

You will need to change the front cover and the plate between the front cover and block. The rear holes in the block are most likely not threaded like the tractors so you will need longer bolts to use with nuts to mount the rear plate. You will also want to replace the oil pan and valve cover.

There may be components that need to be swapped. The crank may or may not need pilot drilling to accomodate the shaft tip. Front cover may be different as well. There mkay be some that have no sleeves (running sleeveless). if it is good it just means the next rebuild will need mqachine work. These factors may not all apply, but caution is needed. JimN

I think a 715 combine used a 301 gas.
