Hello. I just purchased a bumper for my 1953 Farmall Super A. It arrived last night. I have no idea how it should be installed. In glancing at things this morning, it appears I need to remove the steering arms to fit the bumper in place. Does anyone know if this is correct? Or could explain to me how to install this thing?

Thanks.

Thanks for the followup reply, 75% of the time we remain clueless on the outcome, things just slide into the past like an old girlfriend. JimN

Thanks for the interest in helping me out. I looked it over better on Saturday and realized it was way simpler to install than I realized. I had to remove the bolts from the front side of the two big clamps in each side of the front axle. Then this bumper slides over the steering arms and bolts to those clamps using a longer bolt. I did have to heat the bumper and bend the metal straps bolted to the axle clamps so I could get the bumper to look nice and even. Turned out good.

As HUGH says sounds different. Wouldnt think the steering arms would have to be removed for instalation.
