I just rebuilt this A with all new pistons and sleeves. It ran beautifully with no oil leaks. I parked it in the shed in late Oct. While I was enjoying looking at tractors today while it's -10 outside, I saw some anti freeze on the frame and found that the engine is stuck. Think I'll pull the plugs tomorrow and put some ATF and kerosene in the cylinders. Any other suggestions? Thanks. DH in MN.

im just asking are you 100 percent sure its locked up in the engine? if the starter is hung up you would think the engine was locked loosen that starter up and shake er round

I understand there is antifreeze leaking but that tractor does not have a "FRAME". Look carefully for a source of the fluid, it must be coming from some external leak. aif it is and it can be analyzed the "getting it running" may include taking it back apart. As Old and El Toro point out, pulling the plugs will be first on the list. After close inspection. JimN

Well if it has anti freeze or water in any of the cylinders pouring in the ATF will not help. I would pull the plugs and make sure its not a hyd. lock. If it isn't then you need to blow out or wick out the cylinders before doing the ATF or you will get no where with it. May need to pull the head off to see whats wrong since you see anti freeze on the side of it

With the plugs out I would see if if stuck or has coolant on top of the pistons use hand cranking or just bumping the engine over with the starter.
I would just use the ATF if it is stuck and let it soak. Hal
