I was wondering what was the best way to adjust the clutch on a farmall C. the clutch and pressure plate are new. also when tractor is run it idels fine. but when put in to gear it m,isses i was wondering what might be the problem.

Adjust the clevice on the clutch rod (heat might be needed if it is stuck). The adjustment is very close to 1" at the point the pedal touches the deck when your foot is off of it, to the point of first contact with the throwout bearing. Hand pressure feel of contact is fine, no need to be looking at it. If it misses when under a modest load (assuming that is what you mean above ) try adjusting the main jet a little richer to allow better operation. Marginal sparkplugs and or wires can also cause mis-under load. as can vacuum leaks, and other factors. Tell us more about the misfire. Evenly one cylinder, any at any time rough running, or just putting the lever in gear causes it!! JimN
