Allan: Spendy, considering your only getting a hydraulic lift and not a draft controlled hitch.

Yeah, I know.

Figure in the freight and I'll bet they come in at about a grand a pop.

Whadda gonna do tho?

Darned old tractors are pretty much worthless without some kind of a hitch.

The old days of the drag implements are gone and my old H and M arent' big enough to pull anything that requires a draft anyway. :>(

They'll sure work sweet around the hay yard and tuggin' the grain drill. :>)

Allan: As a 3 point hitch, not a terrible buy at a $1,000. for someone like yourself that knows the limitations. Great for picking up a loader counter weight, above ground 3 point equipment, etc. Problem I see often on discussions, folks buy these, thinking they are going to plow with the same kind of quality one would expect from an IH lower link sencing unit. I wonder if they ever gave much thought just how much a modern day 656 factory type of hitch would cost. I'm betting it would spoil $5,000. PDQ.

Allen, you're pretty close on the grand. Might even be a bit more with the freight.

Both catalogs show them. One of them has the 3 points from "worksaver". I'm not sure what brand the other one is, but if ya need one, I'll sure find out.

Technically, you can put the 706's factory 3 point on the 560, by splitting the two tractors at the bell housing and putting the 560 front on the 706 rear.

The steering on the 560 is still mechanically connected to the steering wheel, though, and the 706's steering pedestal doesn't have that provision, so you'd want to swap the frame rails and front bolster to get the 706's power steering setup.

After you do that, the 560's radiator won't fit, so you'll need to install that off the 706 too. The 560's hood won't mate up to the 706's steering pedestal, so you'll need to install the air cleaner, hood and grille off the 706 too.

Essentially, what you end up with is a 706 with your 560's engine in it :)

Paul: Factory 3 point hitch, NO, completely different chassis. I doubt if it would be worthwhile or possible with an aftermarket hitch either. You could probably buy a Saginaw hitch specifically for the 560 for less money. If your 560 currently has fast hitch rear rockshaft and lift cylinder, Saginaw would definitely be less money.

And don't forget the anti-sway snub "CHAINS" on the lift arms (no binders needed).
