I heard you know everything oh mr farmall ha ha hey i have a 59 350 ute with what looks like a 110 volt male plug coming out of the head next to the valve cover any ideas thanks

that is a head-bolt heater. plug a cord into it and see if it still works

Allan -- how well do those work? My M has a heater that heats the coolant. Works very well, but kind of clutzy looking. I imagine the head bolt ones take longer to heat, but would be out of sight.

Try plugging an extension cord in and listen. It is likely an engine heater, head bolt type.
