Looking at an M, in fair shape according to the dealers ad. Without doing alot of research, can anyone tell me the HP of an M, and what the ground speed range is in 1st gear?
My biggest concern is that it'll run slow enough to pull my JD combine, while keeping up the PTO speed I need.
Thanx
Ron

Ron, He posted about a page back, reguarding a few old Ms on LP he founded in Texas. I posted there too! Or you could start a new post at the bottom of the page. Hope this helps.

With 12.4 rear tires, first is 2.625 mph. If the serial has an X1 suffix (Gasoline), factory HP is 34.44 drawbar, 39.23 PTO. With no suffix, maybe 3 HP less. Many have been modified to Super M specs which is about 42 drawbar, 47.5 PTO.

An orginal "M" is just under 35 hp and 1st gear max speed is 2 5/8 mph.

GOOD LUCK
