I'm sure the hardcore restorers will not like this but I have always found the original Farmall red kind of boring. So, after a lengthy decision making process and a thorough review of available red colors I went with a GM color called Torch Red. It is the red they painted the Corvettes among other vehicles. I also am using mostly stainless fasteners. Other than these areas it will be all original on full steel. I think the old 38 on full steel painted Corvette red should be a real site going down the road at a bit over 4mph.

I think some orange flames on the M would finish it off nicely.

Scott,In first gear on tight ground you wont be able to sit in the seat. Its bad enough in good ground.I remember my regular the first year of our plow day,and how I was going to plow the whole field,I made about 3 rounds and looked for someone else that was interested in plowing.

I think everyone is assuming that I'll leave the lugs on. I planned on installing either a road ring or a tire tread on the rim. I think the lugs would probably go through the asphalt anyway, especially on a hot day.

Yeah, it will be a pretty site seeing you go down the road in high gear with steel wheels, unless you take off them lugs or but road bands on..... ..lol

My grand-dad used to call 'em old steel wheels with lugs kidney killers or teeth breakers....lol

On soft soil it's pretty cool though.....
