I was looking over my 574 this week while fixing a few things and found why I have no guages or lights, The plugs have been unhooked at every junction all over the tractor. Maybee someone was going to paint it or something or what concerns me more is that there may have been battery drain issue or similar. So the plan is to clean all the connections and start plugging them in one at a time and see if anything drains, or there is the other approach of clean and plug them all in and see what happens....

Any recomendations??

Hi Jeef, if it has Delco starter and alternator then it is a 574 Diesel that was manufatured in UK then shipped to USA and assembled where Delco electrics and other US made parts were added.

We have a 574 IH and we spend more time fixing it than running it.

Hi Jeef, does it have Lucas or Delco electrics?
The Lucas connectors were troublesome, especially the connector under the battery box if any battery acid had leaked. The other major connector is behind the seat. The other difficulty is that the whole system is only grounded at a few places and one is behind the seat to the deck plate bolts.
Get yourself some good spray on electrical contact cleaner and watch for sparks when you join the connectors.

Good luck

I am not sure it is a diesel so it dosen't have an Ignition, not sure on the rest. The starter and alternator remind me of what I would see on a gm product so maybee delco?

Starter has and intergrated silanoid.
