I don't why I keep doing it, but I just bought 7 more LP tractors. They are rough, but not like the Pa. stuff that we see in the fence rows. Oh well I figure I better get them before they all disappear to the scrap piles. Lots of good parts if nothing else. My wife will be so proud of me.

I never said they were painted beauties, but they are in my opinion good fixer uppers. Number 1 they are all there. Number 2 the metal is great compared to the pitted, rusted junk we see here in Pa. Number 3 they are priced right. We have about 30 of them near Snyder , Texas. As soon as the weather breaks, I will scheule a tractor traier to bring about 5 of them here to Pa. I have brought in sveral loads. Last trip we brought in a 1486,1066,806,400 lp,930 Case. I don"t know what it is in Texas, but they just seem to let tehm sit around. I guess they don"t have the people to keep the running so they go and buy new stuff. I have never found one that I couldn"t place through my adoption center, so to speak.

You just bought seven _more_ LP SM's?

Jeez, how many of those things do you have anyway?

So far I only have one. But at least I saved one. Eventually I'll take a picture of it and post it on here. It's sitting in the shop now while it's raining outside.

Are you in Texas or is the one in the picture in Texas?

I'll have to get your number in case you decide to start divesting those things!

dej(jrd), Where did you find them in Texas? The one in your pic is nothing special, just a run of the mill M with an aftermarket LP kit, 99% chance it was farmer installed.
But finding Ms are getting harder, and harder to find, even parts tractors, not to mention good running tractors, or Factory LP ones. Nice find none the less.
Later,
John A.

Hey, how are you?

I was able to get a vaporizer kit for my SM from the place you recommended in OK.

I've got it pretty much altogether and running. I've run the tank dry so I can go in and take care of some leaky valves and such. Probably will pull the top plate off and clean out the tranny too.

CenTex, Morning! All is well down here! just staying busy working, I have not had much time to look for tractors, I do check B&M Tractor Salvage over at Taylor when I am over that way. They just drug up an ol 706 LP, but the ol darlin is toooo far gone!
Glad you got your ol girl going. Hollar when ever you want. Keep praying for rain. Later,
John A.
