The operator's manual in your friend.

On p.32 of mine it lists the two size pulleys (8-1/2"dia x 6"w and 7-1/2"dia x 6-1/2"w) that were offered and the corresponding belt speeds (3033fpm and 2760fpm). Pulley speed was 1363rpm.

Lube and capacities are covered in the lubrication table on p. 36 -- basic tanny case, 4-3/4 gal, tranny with PTO and pulley, one quart more.

Larry: The belt pulley gear box is supplied from the transmission via the oil slinger gear. You'll notice the transmission requirments are about 1 quart more when eqipped with pto and belt pulley. You can pour oil in the belt pulley fill cap, however there is a overflow back to transmission and if you try to over fill the pulley gear box, the excess runs to transmission.

Larry: Don't have one to measure, don't have any written material, just 65 years around Farmall tractors and I'll call it 8.5 inches for diameter, probably 7 inches wide. I do know the diameter is slightly more than width.

Are you're talking about the flat drive belt that'll drive a buzz saw, etc.?

If that's the one, the pulleys I've seen on the SC are stamped steel, where the C Farmall ones are cast iron. My SC book is in the shop and I can't get out there to look at it right now to find out what the diameter is. Hope this helps. Jim

My 51 super C has a cast iron pulley . I think the diameter is 9 or 10 inches. I will measure it later.
