The stress is on the bottom of the tractor. The load is pushing down trying to push the belly towards the ground.

Doesn't much matter how a guy builds 'em, just so it "strengthens" that bottom.

Old farmalls were really suspectable because of that big hollow torque tube, but I've seen 4020 JDs split right in half too.

After the problem started showing up, Farmhand changed the way they built the mounts so that the tractor was "beefed" as well.

Here's how I did my little H with the F-11. Also a picture of the newer F-10 mounts and then finally the F-235 mounts.

If you have a F-10 with the old "box" type mount, run a stringer from that box up to the front strut mount at the rail and pull it tight with a turnbuckle. Both sides.

Here is a picture of Allan's H with the gusset. Just a large threaded rod that goes from the bottom of the loader bracket that attaches to the axle foward to the same point that the angled brace attaches to. Note the piece of plate steel that the angled brace and gusset are attached to, that plate is then bolted to the frame rail of the tractor. Also there should be a turnbuckle on the threaded rod someplace so that you can get the gusset tight.
